Fiam Italia: Experience Luxurious Living with Italian Furniture

Fiam showcased what luxurious living is all about at the latest installment of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile or the 2019 Milan Furniture Fair. Fiam's brainchild, Veblen, was given a space in the exclusive Xlux pavilion of the fair. The area was exclusively available to furniture brands that bring timeless luxury at home.

Beguiling furniture enthusiasts from around the world during the fair was the Vendome collection. Fiam's luxury line improved the Vendome lineup from last year for the limited Salone audience who witnessed the glamorous gathering of contemporary furniture. The luxury lineup is through a collaboration with designer Stefano Bigi.

While Veblen's furniture lineup evokes wealth and extravagance, Fiam also wants to make sure that culture is embedded in every design and that style is given utmost importance. Fiam also ensures that every piece of furniture it creates is of the highest quality. Proof of this is the quality assurance certificate the company acquired: UNI EN ISO 9001:2008.

Of course, regular furniture pieces from Fiam were also on display at the 58th edition of the annual fair. Only the best and the latest were exhibited at the international event attended by hundreds of thousands of people from all parts of the world.

Here are some of Fiam’s latest furniture pieces:

Kathleen

Fiam designs mirrors not just with practical function in mind. The Italian brand's contemporary mirrors always shine brightly in the room. Case in point, the Kathleen. You could choose between two designs: a floor or wall mirror. Either way, the frame is made of molten glass at six-millimeter high fire. About the brightness, it could be taken literally too as the mirror is available in bright and friendly colors: transparent fumo, rosa antico and ambra. The floor version of the mirror has a backlight--again with the literal “bright” in the room.

Kighi

Just like its lineup of mirrors, Fiam doesn't do simple when it comes to tables. In collaboration with designers Setsu and Shinobu Ito, Fiam amps up the table game with Kighi, which plays with geometric shapes. The table top seems simple enough, which is a 15-millimeter tempered glass in metallic colors. The base, on the other hand, is anything but simple. It is reminiscent of the bricks in a brick game on the brink of game over. The leg is made up of seven elements in various shapes and made of painted metal and finished in either terra bruciate or platinum gray.

Dino

This bedside table and drawer designed by CRS Fiam is exactly what you need beside your bed. There are things you don't want exposed, so you put them in the drawer. But for things you want to see immediately like magazines and books you want to read before sleeping, then the Dino design got it absolutely right. The glass part of the design is made of eight-millimeter curved glass. The drawer is made of black or dark brown lacquered wood.

Easy Lloyd

A classic chair with a rustic feel, the Easy Lloyd is a contemporary chair in solid wood frame designed by Studio Klass. The frame is finished in either tobacco oak or open pore black lacquer. The upholstery is in leather. The design makes the seat's function flexible--it could be a dining chair for home or commerce, and it could be an events chair like conferences and even celebratory activities.
