Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is your returns policy?  We accept the return of most items within 30-days of delivery.  Merchandise must be in new condition, in original packaging and the customer is responsible for the return shipping charges.  In some cases (custom orders, large orders, etc.), an order will be non-refundable.  If this is the case, it will be noted in the special order terms, which must be reviewed and approved before the order is processed.
  2. How much does shipping cost?  Unless otherwise noted on the product page, we offer free basic curbside shipping within the continental U.S.  Please note that this free shipping includes delivery to the exterior of your home, apartment, or business (the exact location depends on your premises, but is generally the curbside, driveway, or front porch).  We do offer white glove delivery to most locations, which includes indoor delivery to the room of your choice, unpacking, and removal of packing supplies.  If you are interested in this upgrade, please contact us at sales@umodern.com or 888-240-0048.
  3. Do you ship outside the continental US?  Yes, we do.  Please contact us at sales@umodern.com or 888-240-0048 for a shipping quote.
  4. How long will it take to receive my order?  The anticipated delivery time is listed on each product page.
  5. What happens if my goods arrive damaged?  While we take every precaution to avoid damage in transit, it does occasionally happen.  We will cover 100% of the cost of repair or replacement in the event of damage if: (1) damage is noted on the delivery paperwork or delivery is refused due to damage; or (2) concealed damage is reported to us within 7 days of delivery.  As with any item delivered by freight, it is important to open and inspect the goods immediately upon delivery and to note any damage on the delivery paperwork.  You can find a full list of our terms here.
  6. Can you match another retailer's price?  Yes!  Our prices are usually very competitive, but if you find one of our products offered at a lower price elsewhere, let us know and we will match that price.
