Inspired by the Japanese concept of balance and harmony, Philippe Tabet’s design for the Pianca Fushimi Bed consists of natural elements and elegant craftsmanship that evokes Japanese design culture. The bed’s construction has an appearance of lightness through its linear forms that terminate in perfectly smooth and rounded edges and corners. The wooden aspects, including the gracefully crafted joinery details, come in solid ash wood painted, Canaleto, high gloss, or open pore matt lacquered finish. Meanwhile, the upholstered elements of the generously padded headboard and the flat mattress platform are covered in fabric, natural, or man-made leather.
