Promoting simplicity, craftsmanship, and timelessness, the Pedrali Folk Chair 2920 created by CMP Design reinterprets a classic utilitarian object into a modern form. Welcoming in its appearance, the frame and legs of the chair are constructed using solid ash wood and finished in natural or stained colors. The sides of the back legs feature slots where the die-casted aluminum frame of the seat is attached to. Utilizing natural cane for the seat reinforced with nylon yarn woven into the material adds both stability and lightness to the chair. The back rest is fabricated using bent ash plywood. The configuration of the Folk Chair not only demonstrates fabrication innovation, it also promotes the sustainability of the product by affording the pieces to be disassembled from each other for easier recyclability.
