Tonelli Hyperion Glass Cube Lamp

The Tonelli Hyperion lamp is a family of glass and metal lights designed by Massimo Castagna and made in Italy. Rounded glass cubes hang from or rise out of a slim metal frame, so each piece works as a lighting fixture and as a small glass sculpture. It suits living rooms, dining areas, entries and stairwells where you want light with visual weight.

Design: solidity against transparency

Castagna built the Tonelli Design Hyperion collection around contrasts: solid against transparent, straight lines against curves. The frame is linear and structural. The glass cubes soften that geometry with rounded edges and let the light pass through without a shade to hide it.

Configurations and materials

Hyperion comes as a chandelier with five glass cubes, as single hanging lamps, and as a vertical floor lamp with four glass cubes. The metal components branch out from the frame to hold transparent, Pyrex-blown glass cubes. Each lamp can stand alone or be grouped with others at different heights as part of a larger installation, which makes it a flexible choice for double-height spaces and long dining tables.

FAQ

Can I combine several Tonelli Hyperion lamps?

Yes. The lamps are designed to be used on their own or as part of larger installations that mix multiple lamps at different heights. Pairing hanging lamps of varying lengths is one way to build a layered cluster.

What kind of light does the Tonelli Hyperion give off?

Each lamp is lit by dimmable G4 LED bulbs at 3000K. Because the glass cubes are transparent, the light is visible through the whole form, and the dimming lets you adjust the mood from task lighting to a softer glow.

Is Hyperion available as a floor lamp and as a hanging light?

Yes. The collection includes a vertical floor lamp, single hanging lamps and a five-cube chandelier, so you can use the same design language on the floor and overhead in one room.
