Glass
Metal
The Tonelli Paradigma bookcase is a glass and metal storage piece from Italy that works as shelving and as a sculptural object in the room. A glass structure carries the load, and an interlocking geometric component in thin metal sheet gives it a graphic, architectural profile.
Paradigma pairs two materials with very different weights. The glass keeps the structure light and open, so books and objects stay visible from every angle. The thin metal sheet component locks into the glass as a geometric form, shaped as an arch or a circle, and adds contrast without bulk.
It comes from Tonelli's bookcase collection, part of the wider Tonelli glass furniture range. If you are comparing materials across rooms, our glass furniture and bookcase pages show more options.
Paradigma suits the living room, bedroom, and home office. In an open plan, a freestanding glass bookcase can divide a space while keeping sightlines clear. Against a wall, the metal component becomes a focal point for displayed books, ceramics, or framed pieces.
Yes. Paradigma is a freestanding bookcase, so it stands on the floor and can be placed against a wall or used to define an area of a larger room.
It is an interlocking geometric component made of thin metal sheet, shaped as an arch or a circle. It works with the glass structure to create the bookcase's distinctive silhouette.
Paradigma was designed by Debonademeo Studio and is produced by Tonelli in Italy. You can see more of the studio's work on its designer page.

Tonelli Design produces glass furniture in Pesaro, Italy—dining and occasional tables, storage, consoles, and mirrors—working primarily with structural glass rather than glass as a veneer over a separate frame. The company has manufactured there since the 1980s, using precision cutting and UV bonding. Ultra Modern supplies Tonelli factory-direct in the United States. Most orders ship free to the contiguous US, and we can source models beyond those listed on the site.
